Hi Everyone,
Sotonight I was settling down for my Tuesday night in front of the telly (as you do!) and noticed a documentry on Channel 4 that I hadn't noticed before called The secret Life of the Zoo. Me being the animal lover that I am I decided to switch over to it and see what it was all about. It was amazing and really insightful so I just had to share it with you!
The series follows several zoo keepers working at Chester Zoo, and discovers what its really like behind closed doors at a zoo. It focuses on the people who work there and how the animals impace them and vice versa.
Over the course ofthis episode, I saw how lots of the different animals there are looked after such as Frogs, Philipine Cockatoo's and Armadillios, but what my favourite part had to be watching the birth of one of the zoo's Giraffes! It seriously made my insides melt a little bit I swear. I've always been intrigued by Giraffe's, I love how majestic and unique they are.
The baby Giraffe had been 3 weeks overdue but once the trauma of the birth was over we got to see how the new baby mingled with the rest of the herd at the zoo. Watching the baby stand and walk for the first time had to be a highlight! I'd seriously reccomend watching this new series, I'm sure you'd find it just as fascinating as I did!
Comment below if you watched this very same episode or if you have any opinions, we'd love to hear from you.
