Happy pancake day everyone! I don't know about you but this is one of my most favourite days of the year. Eating pancakes for dinner, what could be better right! I always get a bit upset that our pets can't join in though, well now they can.
This pancake recipe from hearingdogs.org.uk can be made for any dog as a treat and i'm sure they would love it, all you have to do is follow the recipe below....
What you need:
- 1 cup buckwheat (or whole wheat)
- flour4 tablespoons corn flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 large egg
The Method:
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until smooth
Refrigerate for 30 minutes
In a small saucepan, heat a small amount of butter (to coat) and cook each pancake about one minute on each side, they should be a glorious golden colour
Top with tasty meaty treats – such as cooked mince meat – to make a nutritious meal
Cool and serve to your four legged friend!
These pancakes can be frozen for future enjoyment
Its Recommended by us at Paws and Claws not to top the pancakes with sugry treats like we would have and instead top them with minced meat for an extra special treat. Also don't make this recipe if your dog is under the age of 6 months.
