I am a vampire bat and I am a small species of bat who can be found in Central and South America. We grow no larger than a human thumb. Whilst we are flying about we produce high-pitched sounds that bounce off objects. Any sound that bounces back helps us figure out where things are around us and helps us to navigate. Our high pitched noises are so high pitched that humans cannot hear them. We sleep upside down in the darkness all day and wake up at night to hunt for food.
