First published in 1908, this charming novel focuses on four animals, Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad and the many different adventures they have. Each of these delightful characters have their own unique personalities for example, Toad is good natured and kind hearted whereas Badger is solitary ,gruff and moody. Its due to this that makes this book so appealing to children as they get to know the characters almost on a personal level throughout.
