Reindeer
I’m a Reindeer, although my scientific name is ‘Rangifer Tarasndus’. We also have another name in America which is Caribou. I live in the North America, Canada, Russia, Greenland and of course with Santa Claus at the North Pole. I am a herbivore which means I eat plants, grass and moss. My antlers are around 3ft tall and I shed them in the winter. Reindeers are the only types of deer where both the males and females grow antlers and no two antlers are the same. Just like a human’s fingerprint, every antler is different. A male reindeer is called a Buck, a female is called a Doe and a baby reindeer is called a Fawn.
