I’m a penguin and I am a bird that cannot fly. Instead, my wings work as flippers to help me swim. We penguins live on the Southern half of the earth. You can find me in Antarctica, South America, South Africa, New Zealand and the Galapagos Islands. I spend half my time on land and the other half in the water. My favourite food is fish and I like to drink salt water. Penguins are very sociable animals and we love playing in the ice and snow together. Although I look as though I’m wearing a tuxedo, my coat is actually called countershading and works well as a camouflage against predators.
