Maine Coon


Cat!

Cats are my all time favourite animal, I love them! The reason why I would love to be a cat is because they're so lazy and just get to sit around all day not doing anything. I love to sleep so being a cat would be ideal for me. My favourite breed of cat is a Maine Coon as they're so fluffy and hugable.

Maine coons

Maine Coons are the largest breed of domesticated cat. It has a distictive appearance and valuable hunting skills. Everything about this breed of cat points to its adaptation of a harsh climate. Orginating from North America, the Maine Coon has a thick fluffy coat, which is both heavy and water resisitant. It's thick bushy tail wraps around the body when sleeping to protect itself from wind, rain and snow. I think I need one to keep me warm in winter too!

Although these cats are really pretty to look at and make great pets due to their friendly nature, they are renowned for having genetic medical problems. This is due to the fact that specific breeds of cats are very closely related. Their medical problems can vary between heart conditions or gum disease. Either way, this breed of cat would not be a cheap pet to keep.
